@Cooldude - My experience with shrimatis has always been excellent. They are great at customers service. Few years back, there were a number of sites for purchasing cds, most of them are closed now. Amazon will be good place to search.
ReplyDeleteYes, I have purchased cds from Alai Osai as well. You cant purchase anything from that blog, will need to contact them by e-mail or phone and place the order. They take some time to process the order, but pretty reliable as you get cds directly from the music company.

ReplyDeleteThere are very limited number of online webstores to purchase Indian audio cds (frankly there is no website other than shrimatis having stock of cd from 90s). Try to get in touch with different people and make friends in different cities / countries where you think you can find some of the cds :)

But still I'm unable to find Taal, Rangeela, Daud, The Legend of Bhagat Singh to name a few. Also I am looking for Swades ACD (your first) but could only find that 42 priced version. I wish to have that 160(?) priced version having a thicker case. I stay in Vizag (India), searched the stores here for those ACDs, couldn't find any. I even checked most of the stores in Hyderabad but no use. Even Flipkart and Infibeam don't have them. So could you tell me of the stores where I could get them. Thanks in advance.

@Harsha - If you are located in India, rhythmhouse.in and flipkart.com are two convenient and realiable websites for cd shopping. Rhythmhouse can get all of Hindi cds that you have listed. Even if they are out of stock, sign up for stock alert and they will get the cd back in stock within a week or so.

I bought the audio CD of AYM album last month for over 100 rupees and my friends were like are you mad and a few of them understood that this is ok but I am yet to prove that I am really a big fan, still lesser before you, of Rahman Sir. I really don't get to share those feelings with anyone in person. Some of my favourite songs in my childhood were his compositions and I didn't come to know till this year. Now I am totally a Rahmaniac. I am a marathi and all that goes through my mind is his tamil songs and Hindi too but tamil more.
